Most of Agriturismo in Tuscany are settled on the countryside. But this is not a general rule. There are also some Agriturismo up on the mountains or along the sea, lakes or rivers. On 2013 the Italian Ministry of Agriculture Food and Forestry (Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali) created the logo to distinguish the Agriturismo in Italy. The number of sunflowers should indicate the classification, like stars in hotels. But it is not in use yet. First of all it is necessary to define the requirements you need to be classified. As usual, in Italy even the easiest thing looks really complicated!

Dear Bombshell, in case you need any help, let me know wich area of Tuscany you are interested in, and I could help you. 🙂
Hi! I could really use a tip about a local car hire company, that does not require a credit card, or a nice, small agroturismo that can be reached by train/bus from Florence. I’m looking for quiet and stunning views.
The big car hire companies always require a credit card. No chance to skip it. Maybe, a local rental company could ask for a big deposit once you get the car (like 500,00 euros) and in case of damage, they keep it. Unfortunately, I do not know any of them in the area of Florence. Concerning the Agriturismo, take a look online around the village of San Gimignano (you can reach it by bus from Florence), Castellina in Chianti or Montepulciano (there is a train station there).
