My name is Nicola, I am from Cecina, a small coastal town in the centre of Tuscany, along  the Etruscan Coast.

I spent most of my years in Cecina, on the Tyrrhenian coast, surrounded by the sea, the wine region of Bolgheri and beautiful hills with many little hamlets.

Now I have been living on the Versilia coast in the northern Tuscany for 4 years where I work for luxury hotels.

When I was a child I haven’t had the opportunity to travel a lot, but I used to spent weekends and holidays with my parents and relatives at our country house in the chestnut wood of the tiny village of Sassetta.

I love travelling

Whene I felt in love with Travel.

Only later, when I turned 18, I started to travel with friends or by myself and I felt in love with travel. I feel good discovering new cultures, new ways of life, meeting new people from all over the world. Whenever I have to get a plane I feel so excited and I can’t wait to take off.

I met people that, with passion and pride, showed me their land, customs and traditions. I became friend with many of them and our friendship still lasts despite the time and distance.

Those who visited me in Tuscany were enchanted by the places I showed them, by the food prepared by my mother and my grandmother, by the friendly and familiar atmosphere they felt. Everyone promised me to come back again! That’s one of the reason I chose to tell my region through this travel blog.

I love to plan all my trip in advance: find places to visit on the map, book flights, accommodations, plan itineraries and excursions. And when I go with friends they leave me the task to organized everything, being sure I will organize a perfect journey.

Where I Travelled

Places where I have been.

I have visited most of the Italian regions and the European countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech, Hungary, Netherland, Slovenia, Sweden, Great Britain, Eire.

My last travels were Berlin with Edoardo (soooo cold but the atmosphere was magic with the snow), New York by myself (together with only my camera it was great to walk around with my eyes pointed towards the sky to admire the big buildings) and Lisbon (grateful to have visited one of most beautiful capital in Europe) with my Father.

The “solo” experience of 4 months in Australia on 2005 has been one of the best and exciting things I could do in my life! I had the opportunity to visit almost ⅔ of the entire land and meet dozens of people.

I also love to travel by myself. I had great trips and adventures, toogether with my backpack and my camera around Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan and Egypt.
