The organization announced the first headline. Green Day will walk the stage of Visarno Arena on Sun 15 June 2025. Many others have to come during the next months. Keep following us to stay up to date.

Firenze Rocks Festival is without any doubt one of the most significant music summer events in Tuscany, Italy, and Europe. During the past four editions, the Visarno Arena of Florence hosted great performances that attracted thousands of fans nationwide.

If you are traveling around Tuscany next June, and you have a passion for rock music and big outdoor festivals, I would not miss Firenze Rocks.

Thanks to amazing lineups, the past three editions were a great success with all tickets sold out in a few minutes. The stage of the Visarno Area hosted unforgettable performances of International bands and artists the likes of Green Day, The Cure, Tool, Aerosmith, Placebo, Eddie Vedder, System of A Down, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Foo Fighters, and Guns N’ Roses, Ed Sheeran. All the shows registered sold out with fifty thousand people.

On the day of the event, there is a ticket office in the Piazzale delle Cascine where you can buy tickets (the ones left) in case you haven’t done so before. Here you also get accreditation. Opening hours will be announced a few days before the event. The ticket office closes at the beginning of the last concert of the day.

How to get to Firenze Rocks Festival

The Visarno Arena is located a little more than two kilometers from the central station of Santa Maria Novella, so it is very close to the historical center. Once in town, the use of public transport is highly recommended, especially the tramvia.

By Tramvia

The stops to reach the Visarno Arena are “Cascine” and “Paolo Uccello, just five minutes walking from the main entrance of the Arena. On the day of the concert, the service runs until 2 am.

By Bus

From Firenze SMN train station, take the Ataf 17c line buses towards Cascine and get off at the “Cascine” stop. The average journey time is 15 minutes. On the day of the concerts, the number and the frequency of all public transport services are increased.

You can directly reach the Visarno Arena by bus from many Italian cities, using the service Eventinbus. The company organizes buses at a very competitive price.

By Car

The Arena is located in the center of Florence, so we strongly recommend using public transport. For those who reach Florence by car, we suggest parking in the surroundings of the Arena, as in the Isolotto area on the other bank of the river (and reach the Arena crossing the pedestrian bridge), or use the car parks at the last stop the Tramvia “Villa Costanza in Scandicci Area.

By Train

You can easily reach Florence by train with Trenitalia or Italo trains during the day, in time for the event. The problem is that, depending on which city you come from, there are no night trains to bring you back home. In this case, you have to plan to stay at least one night in town.

  1. Edwin Villarroel says:

What is the difference in the colors of the tickets, I am going to buy for the 19th, but I have two ticket options, yellow and green, which would be the best option?

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hello Edwin, I personally do not know anything about colors. There are different kinds of tickets: if you wish to stay closer to the stage, try to buy a PIT1 ticket. Otherwise, there are General Admission tickets for the rest of the arena. If you are a big fan of one of the band, could be nicer to be closer.

    • Karoline Svang Lokøen-Chavez says:

      Hello!
I am also researching the same. I believe that the tickets that are left now include both in front of the stage as well as a seat.
I’ve checked the map online but it didnt help me much. Not sure tho, just a guess.

      Karoline

    • Christopher Carl Bate says:

It just indicates which gate you enter through (yellow gate or green gate), otherwise no difference.

  2. Tarzan says:

I had the same question myself and I found this:
“What’s the difference between yellow, green and red entry indicated on the ticket? ”
NONE! The color of the entrances is only needed to settle the audience between the various entrances. Once inside Visarno, it is possible to find and reconnect with your companions.

I hope it helped. See you there 😉 \m/

  3. Gabby says:

    Hi,
can you assume the timetable ?
i see in my ticket that the door opens in 12am , but what next? when greta von fleet are up , and when will Metallica is scheduled to start their show ???

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hi Gabby, timetable still have to be confirmed by the organization, so I cannot answer exactly to your question at the moment. Usually the main artist plays in the evening session, so I guess Metallica will start their show around 9:00 pm. The other comes before. I may say that Greta Van Fleet will be on the stage around 6:30/7:00 pm. BTW Better to wait to be precise.

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hey John, at the moment the Italian Government gave rules only until 30 April 2022. For open-air shows, it is required to wear FPP2 mask and the basic Green Pass which means vaccination or PCR or Rapid test. To be sure what will be the rule for June, we have to wait a bit.

  4. Zaid says:

I don’t get the 10 AM ticket exchange? I purchased my tickets on Ticketmaster, do I have to go to the venue in the morning first to exchange my eticket with a physical one??

      • Zaid says:

Oh ok, coz in the article you said that “from 10 am everyone that has to get the tickets bought online with Ticketmaster and TicketOne” so I was confused. Thanks for the clarification.

      • Zaid says:

One more question if you dont mind, on the day of the concert how early do you recommend I get to the venue to avoid long lines?

        • Nicola Bandini says:

No problem Zaid. I do not have a suggestion about it, it depends if you wish to see all singers or just the main one. There are several gates so you won’t be stuck in the queue for hours. In my personal experience, when I went, two years ago, to see the Cure (they performed at 9:00), I entered at 6:00 with 30 minutes of line approx while another group was singing. It wasn’t too bad.

          • Kelly says:

Hi Nicola, I am flying and I will get a PCR test 2 days before I land in Firenze. Would I need to get another rapid test to enter the festival? If so, is it easy to get a rapid test in firenze or does it take time?

            Thanks

          • Nicola Bandini says:

Dear Kelly, starting from 1st May the covid “green pass” is no longer required. So you won’t need any test to enter the arena. If nothing change there won’t be the obligation to wear the mask anymore. Even if, being a crowded place, wear the mask is still a good idea.

  5. Juno says:

Currently, the ticket sales site only sells “Abbnomento – Posto Unico” tickets, not “Abbnomento – Pit” tickets. Are the “Pit” tickets sold out?
Is it possible for me to purchase it because it is sold on a different schedule?

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hey Juno, sorry for the delay. I have just checked and for example, Abbonamento Tickets on Ticketmaster are currently unavailable. They may all be sold out already. But it may be that they will put more tickets on sale in the future. So I suggest you keep checking on the two online buying portals.

      • Juno says:

okay, thanks !! I’m so excited for the PIT tickets to be resold.
Can I ask you one more question?? Can I get admission if I make a purchase on a resell site like “viagogo”? I heard that the name of the buyer is printed on the ticket when the ticket is first sold, and the name on the ticket and the name on the ID are collated when entering the festival. For example, by changing the name on a ticket. I’m worried because it’s a festival I’ve been waiting for so long.

    • Doris says:

Hi Juno! We just submitted our 4-day Pit tickets to TicketMaster for resale. I don’t see it posted yet, but it should be there soon.

P.S. – I have read that people are not receiving valid tickets via Viagogo.

  6. Konstantinos says:

I want to ask if there are any restrictions due covid-19.. can we enter the festival without be vaccinated or without pcr test ?

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hey Kostantinos, starting from 1st May the covid “green pass” is no longer required. So you won’t need any test to enter the arena. If nothing change there won’t be the obligation to wear the mask anymore. Even if, being a crowded place, wear the mask is still a good idea.

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hey Nat, if you have tickets for the same artist, yes, old tickets should be valid. Check on the official websites of the event and of the marketplace where you bought them.

  7. Mary Tyler Moore says:

Any guesses as to when Weezer might take the stage on the 16th? We are flying in from Barcelona that day, arriving to Florence airport around 4:30. I am wondering if we will have time to get transport into the city, drop our luggage, and get into the venue before they hit the stage.

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Being the main support act I think they may perform around 18:30 / 19. From the airport, there is the tram to get to the city center but maybe the fastest way could be a taxi. The closer hotel is to the Arena Visarno the better.

  8. Alix says:

I bought my ticket via Viagogo and they have come through the post. Is it ok even though I didn’t get it through one of the official sites?

  9. Cesar says:

Hi! I gotta work on Monday after Metallica’s concert. I would like to know the (approx) ending hour of the concert to buy tickets back home. Would you say midnight?

  10. Boris says:

I’ve ordered the 4 day pass on ticket One, by currier and it’s still marked as prepared for shipping, is it normal?

  11. Dina says:

Hi, I have tickets for all 4 days in the PIT zone. Unfortunately I suffered an injury and I am not sure if I will be able to participate. What is the best way to sell the ticket? Thanks.

  12. Roxana says:

Hello! I would like to know how many people will per day at the festival. Will be more than 5000 people per day? Thank you!

  13. Niclas says:

Hey! Are there any food and drinks available inside the festival area? Could use some water as it’s expected to be hot next weekend in Firenze

  14. Edwin Villarroel says:

Hi, I managed to get a ticket for the 19th to see Metallica, I am worried about public transport working after the concert since the lodging I got is in pontasevi, do you know any information or any recommendation to return after the concert?

    • Nicola Bandini says:

According to the Trenitalia website, a bus leaves from SMN train station to Pontassieve at 00:45 am arriving at 01:22 am. I think this is a good solution to go back to your accommodation. Take a look at the official website of the Italian train company. you can buy the tickets there.

  15. Lisa Mattes says:

Hello! We are planning to go to Maroon 5 and notice that the gates open at 16:00. About what time do you think Maroon 5 will begin to play and about how long would they maybe play? We are trying to figure out timing across our day, as well as the next morning. I understand you are giving an estimate, but even an estimate is helpful. Thank you so much!

  16. Chris B says:

Can you tell me what time the headline act (The WHO) will be coming on stage, and the expected finish time please… Traveling from Pisa

  17. Laura says:

What time will Tool go onstage? Also, do shows usually end around midnight? I need to catch the last train/bus to a hotel a bit out of town and don’t want to miss any Tool songs.

    • Nicola Bandini says:

Hi Laura, to be honest I cannot reply to your question. I think the shows should end around 23:00 to respect local laws about noise at night. But I cannot be sure the exact time the concert ends. Consider that from Arena Visarno to SMN train station takes about 30 minutes by feet and once the show ends there will queue to get out of the park.
